The Living Room Dances emerges from Lisa Kraus’ daily practice of improvising to Bach’s French Suites, themselves based on baroque dances. The prompts are follow first thought, go somewhere, use the eyes, shift, let go. Duet with Bach and sometimes with birdsongs. The title is because when she shares the practice with an audience, it’s usually in a living room.
Meanwhile, There in Buenos Aires, Susana Szperling and SZ Danza presents poetic dance films that explore the dialogue between body and environment —“Memories del Hoy” audiovisual direction by SZ and choreography
by Aurelia Chillemi and “Paseo Inclined” created by SZ Danza.

Studio’s ongoing series for works-in-progress, live showings, and performances. It’s a space for experimentation—a meeting ground for dancers, choreographers, musicians, and artists to share spontaneous creativity and raw artistic exchange.
On April 25, Here & There will spotlight the legacy of jazz with a powerful collaboration led by Spectral Forces: Julius Masri on drums, Pete Dennis on bass, Alex Smith on poetry and synthesizers. Their sound is a bright collision of jazz, post-punk, and queer Afro-Futurism—reclaiming and reshaping genres into something electric and new.
This fully improvised set becomes a living score for Cardell Dance guest dancers, who will respond instinctively in real-time—embodying the rhythm, freedom, and deep roots of jazz improvisation.

Led by Chloe Marie & Tamar Gutherz. Open to movers of all levels.
During this immersive experience, participants will explore how the body is a source of connection and energy. Using the space and each other for support and inspiration, we will explore the idea of “networking” through movement.
The evening will begin with a guided warm-up, followed by an Open Improvisation Jam. It will unfold and conclude with a Round Robin, creating space for solos, duets, and group improvisational performances to naturally emerge.
