Modern Dance Techniques for Ages 7-9 with Teacher Loren Groenendaal
Thursdays 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- This class is designed for young dancers ages 7 to 9 (grades 2-4) eager to learn contemporary dance techniques, and will encourage students to move through space, focusing on body initiations, impulses, and dynamic changes. This class provides training through technical and creative warm-ups and phrases; and will develop the young dancer’s creativity by providing opportunities to create their own movements and dances through improvisational and choreographic structures. Students will dance fully while having fun and being empowered.
Fall 2026 is a 16 class session beginning on August 27th and ending on December 17th (NO CLASS on 11/26)
Fall Registration Cost: $425-one child, $765-two children
- There is a 10% discount applied upon selecting the “two children” registration option.

- There is a registration fee automatically applied that goes toward secure electronic payment.

Pickup Program
Cardell Dance Studio offers an after-school pickup service for an additional fee through LorenTeachesMovement. This pickup service is exclusively for students enrolled in the dance class. We offer pick up from Bache-Martin and Friends Select Schools for this class for the fee of $240. Register for Pickup here:

Parents new to the studio who are interested in the pickup program can opt to drop off in the first week if preferred.
If your child attends a different school than Bache Martin Elementary, and you are interested in pickup, please email Lorenteachesmovement@gmail.com to inquire.
Schedule:
- 2:54 pm Pickup at Bache-Martin Elementary School or 3:15 pm Pickup at Friends Select School
- Walk to local playground/park (weather permitting) or studio (inclement weather)
- Snack & playtime/visual arts activity
- 4 PM–dance class begins
- 5:00-5:15 pm–pickup window
