Studio’s ongoing series for works-in-progress, live showings, and performances. It’s a space for experimentation—a
meeting ground for dancers, choreographers, musicians, and
artists to share spontaneous creativity and raw artistic exchange.
On April 25, Here & There will spotlight the legacy of jazz with
a powerful collaboration led by Spectral Forces: Julius Masri on drums, Pete Dennis on bass, Alex Smith on poetry and synthesizers. Their sound is a bright collision of jazz, post-punk, and queer Afro-Futurism—reclaiming and reshaping genres into something electric and new.
This fully improvised set becomes a living score for Cardell Dance guest dancers, who will respond instinctively in real-time—embodying the rhythm, freedom, and deep roots of jazz improvisation.
