Description
This is an exercise-based class designed to develop strength, stability, mobility, coordination, and endurance. The work draws from conditioning exercises and floor-based practices used in modern dance training, but it does not teach choreography or dance combinations.
A supportive, accessible class designed to improve range of motion, mobility, and ease in the body. Through breath, gentle stretching, active flexibility, and alignment exercises, students develop greater freedom of movement while working safely at their own level.
Moving between the floor and standing, students explore core support, weight transfer, balance, spiraling, pushing, pulling, and changes of level. The exercises prepare and sustain the body for dance by building functional strength, joint mobility, and efficient muscular support. They are equally beneficial for adults who do not dance but wish to move with greater confidence, responsiveness, and embodied awareness.
