Thursdays 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm
Instructor: Loren Groenendaal
This class is designed for young dancers ages 7 to 9 eager to learn contemporary dance techniques, and will encourage students to move through space, focusing on body initiations, impulses, and dynamic changes. This class provides training through technical and creative warm-ups and phrases; and will develop the young dancer’s creativity by providing opportunities to create their own movements and dances through improvisational and choreographic structures. Students will dance fully while having fun and being empowered.
Fall is a 15-class session starting on 9/5/24 and ending on 12/19/24. (No class on 11/28).
Registration ends 9/30.
There is a 10% discount applied upon selecting the “two children” registration option.
Pickup Program:
Cardell Dance Dance Studio offers a pick up service through LorenTeachesMovement to 2nd and 3rd grade students from Bache-Martin Elementary School at their dismissal time 2:54 and from Friends Select School at 3:15. If you need your child to be picked up at dismissal time, contact Loren at: LorenTeachesMovement@gmail.com.
The cost for the Bache-Martin pick-up program on Thursdays is $210, the cost for the Friends Select program is $180.
Payments for pick-up can be made to Loren and will be arranged over email. The registration deadline for the pickup program is Friday 8/30. Pickup includes snack (which we provide) and playtime either at the Francisville Rec Center or at the studio (weather-dependent) before class begins at 4.
